You will have to do activities in your Student’s Book and Workbook 
You will have to prepare for your online speaking sessions as well. Remember your contribution to your online meeting is key as it will have a positive effect on everyone’s progress.
Unit 12  PEOPLE I KNOW
AUTONOMOUS LEARNING: These exercises will help you describe family members and friends as well.
You will have to learn adjectives.

ONLINE SPEAKING SESSION (WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY)
          Monologues.
     (3-4 minutes):
During the online class you will have some time to get ready for these monologues.

1    1. Prepare and deliver a monologue about a nice teacher you have had. Talk about what your teacher did for you or something important that he/she taught you.

3    2. You are going to talk about your school memories.
             Describe your old /current school: location, type of education, timetable and
             favourite teachers.
             Say something you particularly liked about your (private or state) school and
             something you would change. Explain why.
            Tell an anecdote about a time when you received a punishment at school.  
            Give details about it.

4   3. You are going to talk about your school homework memories.
             Talk about your school homework habits when you were a child.
             Describe how strict / helpful your parents were about your education
             and talk about the extra  activities you used to go to and how much you
             liked them.
             Tell a past experience when you were punished for not 
             doing your homework or for failing an exam at school.
  

 
5  4. You are going to talk about the role of education in our society.
  Discuss the situation of education in your country.
             Compare private  vs. public education.
             Talk about your experience when you went to school when you were a child.

You didn't like your teachers (especially your Maths teacher), you never did any extracurricular activities and you do not think you got a good preparation for University. You didn’t like the facilities, either.

TASK 1  FORMAL EMAIL

You are going to write a FORMAL EMAIL (125-150 words) to the head teacher at your daughter’s school. You are not happy about some things at the school.
